For 2025, The 2025 PharmaTimes Clinical Researcher of the Year – The Americas Awards are excited to introduce a new category, Clinical Trial Administrator. This category is designed to assess the required skills and competencies to be an organised and competent Clinical Trial Administrator (CTA). Suitable for new CTAs with approximately six months experience, alongside experienced CTAs too.  

Finalists for the CTA role will be expected to showcase their core skills through real-world experiences, demonstrating a key strategy for addressing challenges under tight deadlines. They must assess priorities effectively, develop a clear action plan, and justify their decisions within the context of clinical trial execution.

Additionally, they should understand the fundamental skills of a successful CTA and exhibit key competencies in team support. The ability to take initiative when managing conflicting tasks, as well as effective approaches to tracking and monitoring implementation, will also be critical evaluation criteria.
